Delivery Driver
We are looking to add a local delivery driver to our flower delivery team.
This job position is for 25-30 hours per week, working Wednesday-Saturday. Additional hours may be required during floral holidays.
Please note: You must be available to work Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, as these are the days that our flower delivery routes run. Saturday work is required.
Please only apply if you are available to work Wednesday-Saturday.
Here are the details:
We’re looking to add a delivery driver to our flower delivery team. In this job you’ll be responsible for delivering fresh flower arrangements through Napanee-Port Hope, as well as in Prince Edward County, in our company delivery vehicles.
Please note: Our delivery vehicle is a cargo van. You must feel comfortable driving a cargo van for this position.
You’ll be an ambassador for our farm, as a delivery driver you might be the only point of contact a flower delivery recipient has with our farm, and we want a positive, friendly and professional touch point in this role. You’ll be interacting with customers in important moments of their lives, both celebratory and somber, and we expect that you’ll be able to interact appropriately, with the right degree of kindness and professionalism, in all of these occasions.
The dress code is clean and professional, company shirts, hats and sweaters will be provided and are required to be worn on delivery. Sweatpants are prohibited.
Our delivery shifts most often start at 8:30am, and vary in length, depending on the number of orders we receive in a given week and the length of the routes. Work is typically completed daily between 3-4pm.
Hours may vary depending on the volume of deliveries, with our “busy season” running February-May and September-December. June, July, August and January are a little quieter at our farm, and hours/shifts will be adjusted to reflect that. Our delivery drivers need to be available to work during the busy floral holidays, which include Valentines Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The right candidate will have excellent attention to detail, to ensure that the arrangements they are given for their routes matches the paperwork they are given (this attention to set is especially important if you are not familiar with flowers), and to ensure that the right item is delivered to the client. Drivers will receive lists and routes the afternoon before their shifts, and these routes will already be created in the order stops must be completed, to maximize efficiency.
The use of a smartphone and GPS is required for this job. A company phone is not provided.
You must be comfortable and confident driving in all weather conditions, as we operate 12 months of the year.
You must be comfortable driving a cargo van, as this is one of our delivery vehicles.
Problem solving skills are important, as is patience and courteous driving in a company vehicle.
Outside of delivering flower orders, duties may include light chores related to the delivery program, such as washing buckets, filling mason jars with water, vacuuming out vehicles ect.

Valid G license
