Pink Impression Tulip Bulbs - COMING SEPTEMBER 7TH AT 5PM

Sale price$24.95

A favourite at our farm, this hearty, deep-pink Darwin Tulip is typically always one of the first tulips to bloom in the spring. Large, egg-shaped flowers are durable and sit atop very tall, sturdy stems. Perennial Darwin tulips boast some of the largest flowers, and they are among the longest living tulips, giving you year after year of gorgeous blooms on tall, strong stems. The petals tend to be thick and waxy and withstand spring rains and wind like no other tulip. These tulips also make beautiful cut stems for enjoying in the house.

If you want to perennialize your tulips, it’s important to leave at least two sets of leaves on the stem when harvesting to replenish the bulb and give it energy to bloom the following season. Here at Dahlia May, we grow our tulips for cut flower production, meaning that we treat them as annuals and pull up the entire plant, including the bulb, during harvest. In your home garden, there is no need to lift the bulb in the spring after flowering. Allow the foliage of your plant to die back naturally after blooming, as this process helps nourish the bulb for the subsequent year.
